The Château d’Azay-le-Rideau, located in France’s gorgeous Loire Valley, is a spectacular Renaissance masterpiece. This elegant château has fascinated tourists with its remarkable combination of architectural styles and graceful workmanship.

Located in France’s Loire Valley, it was erected in the early 16th century by Gilles Berthelot, a wealthy businessman and tax collector for King Francis I. 

According to legend, Berthelot fell in love with a beautiful maiden and constructed the château as a present for her. It was built in the French Renaissance style and had gorgeous gardens and a moat.

The château changed ownership multiple times and was severely destroyed during the French Revolution. It was finally rebuilt post the revolution and is now a fine example of French architecture and design.
